The ICC has finally announced the upcoming ICC Women’s Future Tours Program (FTP) for the span of 2025 to 2029. One of the biggest highlights of the FTP is the ICC organizing a women’s tournament every year. On the other hand, Zimbabwe too joins the party and will become the 11th team to participate in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup.
As for the India Women’s Cricket Team, like others, team India would play against the other 8 teams. The format, however, remains the same, 4 Away series and 4 home series. Across the 5 year cycle, a total of 44 series will be held which will include 132 ODI matches, as each series will contain 3 matches.
Minimum Age: 18+
Minimum deposit: ₹500.

“We are delighted to announce the new Women’s FTP. The ODIs within the Women’s Championship will continue to provide both context and a pathway to the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2029. The FTP also provides clarity for teams and the fans. We are pleased that the new edition of the IWC has expanded and will include Zimbabwe as an eleventh team,” said ICC General Manager of Cricket, Wasim Khan.
New ICC event every year
The ICC has announced that the new Future Tours Program (FTP) from 2025-29 will see an ICC Women’s event happening every year to increase the demand for women’s cricket.
“All formats show a substantial increase from the previous cycle (2022-2025) and this FTP sees an ICC event each year with the inaugural six-team Champions Trophy scheduled for 2027. The other ICC events during the period are the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025 (India), the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2026 (the United Kingdom) and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2028 (host yet to be announced),” read the statement from the ICC.
As for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2029, Zimbabwe will join the tournament as the 11th member. And also the Caribbean side will enter the Women’s Championship starting this new cycle.
